So my hypothetical stove,That we bought July 14th
Has a new delivery date
Which has been moved back,
Again
From the original of August 14th,
Which is why we bought the stupid thing in the first place! It's availability. In august.
to August 28th,
September 11
(I know, great date huh, what could go wrong?)
and to now September 28th.
Now, I was willing, to buy a stove I knew they didn't have until late august, that seemed understandable, given the supply line issues the country is experiencing.
But this is getting ridiculous
It begs the question; Why are stores selling vaporware?
Why are they allowed to sell and promise items, in their stores, that they clearly don't have on hand?
Why are we, as consumers, letting the big corporations get away with this shit, with nary a whimper?
frankly folks, I am desperate for some over easy eggs,
That I don't have to go outside and make on a camp stove, is that really too much to ask?
OMGosh, we went through all that delay when we had the kitchen remodeled. AND when we bought new furniture for the living room....that took 9 months to come in. We bought a cheap outfit at a building supply to use until the REAL one arrived. Which eventually was moved to the play room. (our 3 year old grandson has claimed that room as HIS room and wants his bed moved there). But anyway, luckily we could keep our old appliances until the new ones arrived and THAT is quite another story. I complain about California service all the time. Hell, it took 9, count them 9 months to have a new transmission put in the Hummer. Well it lasted a week and went back to be replaced. I told my grandson to sell it but he says heck with the price of gas we might as well keep it because there is a warranty on the new trans. What a run around.
