Just a little bit.
Just a little bit.
OK, a lot.
But in my defense it has been a busy few months,
with doctors appointments for the whole family to coordinate,
yardwork to avoid, Ahem, do.
and then t
here is this pesky new hobby
I seem to have picked up and obsessed over for the past month
Like I need another one.
I must admit making tiny furniture for a dollhouse,
I probably will never get around to making, has been curiously satisfying.
It's also excellent avoidance material,
turn on the music
or your favorite audio book,
Try to find some semblance of peace While your government is
trying to burn down the world around our ears
ignore the chaos that is created by men of no conscience
and create.
Who's hiding?
Isn't that what I originally started crazy quilting for?
hmmmm.
You know how you start a project,
then you start another project and the first project never seems to get done?
Then suddenly you 10 projects scattered around the house.
And just as suddenly they are all done?
I'm not there yet,
to the done point, that is.
If it weren't for the whiskers I would not have seen her this morning! |
I relate. If for some reason I need to clean up and put stuff away, I lose interest. Also why is it that I can't just make one or even a dozen of something but feel the need to make a hundred?
ReplyDeleteThe men in suits are the scariest monsters of all. Enjoy your escapism art - we do! You’re so good at it! xo
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty good at avoidance activities! Love your tiny doll house furnishings. We have a tuxedo cat who almost disappears in the dark, too. I think ours has more white than yours, though. :)
ReplyDeleteI ALWAYS wanted (still would have one) a doll house to dress up and decorate. Perhaps when the remodeling in this house is done I'll give it a try. I have the sweetest great granddaughter who I predict will be an introvert and love all things girly. Perhaps when she is older a doll house would be a great project to create together.
ReplyDeletethis president is zapping the life right out of me. Everyday it's something new and I'm not shocked anymore. I keep wondering if my thinking is wrong. Why can't/don't the GOP lawmakers rein him in? That's how it's supposed to work. I want answers to questions that have answers but no one wants to own up.
