I haven't finished it entirely
it still needs backing, batting and borders
but it is all together in one place at least
I have it hanging off the font curtain so I can look at it better.
my original plan was to have all 12 blocks together but that was too messy looking
so out came the seam ripper, again
I like the asymmetrical look of this configuration better
I gives your eye a place to rest as well as highlighting blocks. what do you think?

I think you are right about splitting them up a bit. I find that with a lot of cq quilts that my eye just can't see much of anything because there is too much to see. Congrats on getting one almost crossed off the list
ReplyDeleteA great idea and beautiful work. I don't quilt just CQ but this will be awesome xoxoxo
ReplyDeleteFlora, this is beautiful! (I need to get off the computer and work on my CQJP 2016 February block...) Thanks so much for sharing your lovely stitching!
ReplyDeleteI think it is beautiful. I especially like the fabric you chose to compliment the blocks. It's a lovely piece.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter

Love the layout! Stunning!
ReplyDeleteI really like this layout, may have to copy it.
ReplyDeleteOH MY!!!
ReplyDeleteSo this is what you have been up to - this is absolutely fantastic! And I agree that the asymmetrical placement is very pleasing & interesting with that off-center cross shape left in the center. Beautifully done!
