Fools Gold RR-Kerries block

 I have finished Kerries block m first in he fools gold series




kerrie sent blocks made of bridal whites and in keeping with that I went for a romantic look I threw down a little lace

I couched down some gold banding in a loopy pattern, gave ii some butter roses and gold bead sprays








topped (bottomed?) with a gold embroidered bird




and here is the result!
I hope Kerrie likes it!

I get some of my best ones in that semi-conscious state between when you first wake up and don't realize you've fallen asleep again.

 I thought I would do something for my sweetie this month as it is Valentines day and his birthday in the same week

CQ is the right fit for me with few hard and fast rules and lots of scope for imaginative uses, from small bags and wall hangings to clothing and full size bed covers.

  I love creating "functional art" that is  small pieces like my witchy-poo hats or cq covered wood boxes.I try to tell a story with my blocks, though that has been a bit muted this year, I want to be getting back to that.

Every RR I enter in CQinternational the more I learn from these talented generous women and I'm trying my best to be a sponge.
