12 Point Star

Here she is!

The star quilt is done.

She is 98"x 96" Squarish

In spite of the tension snafu at the beginning that had to be picked out

and the timing going wonky on the last yard of quilting,

Necessitating the need for an emergency visit to the vac&sew

with a 4 day wait whilst the machine got fixed

My Husband started to call it the Quilt of the damned as

Every damned thing kept happening with it!

In spite of part of the back looking quite awful from the picking

and some truly terrible decisions in design at the beginning

It looks quite nice on the bed.

Another Sane Quilt Finish!

I finally got this flimsy on the long arm,
Here is the border I quilted it with swirls and different types of leaves in a random pattern
The border is done all in swirls
And the Suns are quilted in a straight border inside and outside the rays and a swirl in the enter of each

now all it needs is the purple binding And this New York Beauty is done!

zen and the atr of quilting

I'm in my happy place again

the sun is shining through the prisms

sending little rainbows all over the sewingroom

the window is open for now 'cause its warm in the sun

I've got something on the machine and something  in the longarm
(thank goodness for charity quilts and the quilt guilds who spawn them!)

practicing my feathers when piecing gets boring or frustrating in a rippit sort of way

Giving myself plenty to do so I can ignore politics for another week or so

I've gotten a lot of practice this year!
